EVENT: 1,000 Yard TV Shoot ~ Metal GONG the size of a 27” TV

  PLACE: Frank & Joe Halvorsen’s farm. From Ione, drive 3 miles South on Gooseberry Road and bear right on Halvorsen Lane. Go West 4 miles, there will be signs from there.

PRIZE: $200 for hitting the gong. If more than one person hits the gong, then a shoot-off will commence AFTER everyone has shot. Only one person will win the $200 prize in each class.

4th of JULY: ALL MONEY (AFTER EXPENSES) WILL GO TOWARDS PRIZES FOR KIDS AND IONE’S 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION

SAFETY: It is our number one concern to keep everyone safe. Anyone exhibiting unsafe behavior on the Rifle Range will be asked to leave.

PARKING & REGISTRATION: Park in the designated area and proceed to registration area with rifle (unloaded), bolt open with several bullets. Pay $20 entry fee if you have not already paid. This fee allows you one shot at the TV. You may purchase additional shots for $20 per shot. Cash or check only.

SPORTING CLAYS: Bring your favorite shot gun ~ for a small donation shoot clays. Some shot guns will be available

RIFLE RESTRICTIONS: There will be 3 classes this year. Class #1 – Elk or deer rifle. Class #2 – Heavy target or bench guns. Class #3 – Open site 500 yards.

RIFLE DISPLAY: No one handles rifles while on display.

ON DECK: When shooting number is called, move to designated deck area. Safety Officer will then direct you to shooter’s bench when needed. Shooting benches will be available.

SHOOTING: Do not load your rifle until you are on the bench. You will have three minutes to shoot the gong. If you want to shoot again, you will be allowed another shot for an additional $20 (cash or check only). NO back to back shots.

AFTER SHOOTING: Eject your shell, leaving the bolt open and the Safety Officer will direct you.

SPOTTERS: We will have spotters and you will be notified if you have hit or missed the gong.

GUN RAFFLE: Gun Raffle the day of the shoot. Tickets are only sold at the shoot. $20 per ticket; cash or check only.

FOOD & DRINK: Food and drink will be available. Lunch will be available for purchase; cash or check only. Complimentary breakfast pastries, juice, coffee and water will also be available.

THINGS TO BRING: Sunglasses, spotting scope, ammunition, folding chairs, coat, beverage of your choice, and shotgun – there will be clay pigeons!
